In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to add functional pockets to garments you already own — including both in-seam pockets and easy-to-add outside pockets. You’ll learn how to plan, cut, sew, and finish your pockets for a polished, wearable result.

What You’ll Make

What to Bring

Bring one simple garment you'd like to add pockets to, such as a dress, skirt, or pair of pants. Choose something made from a beginner-friendly fabric and without lining or complicated construction.

You may also bring a fabric you’d like to use for your pockets if you have a specific print or color in mind.

Who This Class Is For

Perfect for beginners, DIYers, and anyone who wants to make their wardrobe a little more functional. Basic sewing machine experience is recommended — you should feel comfortable operating a sewing machine and sewing a straight seam.
